Paint Mines
A while ago at several events I went too, people kept telling me about this place in eastern Colorado that was like the Grand Canyon. Now telling me about a place to hike in Colorado and saying it’s east and not west seems counter-intuitive. The mountains are west and that’s where the hiking is, right?
Well, I was intrigued and tried to find out more about it. But no one could remember the name and so I was lost as to what to do next.
But then a group of friends went to out hiking by Calhan (which is east) and there is was. A place like the Grand Canyon in Eastern Colorado. It’s called the Paint Mines.
Pretty cool in the photo wouldn’t you say? I need to go back again.
