Dusting, the temptation of Spring
The Photo: Dusting.
Dusting, the classic photo in today’s post is part of a series that shows the temptation of spring that the Rockies hold, dangle, waft, and generally don’t deliver on until May. Genuine spring comes late in the Rockies, but a part of a day may feel like spring, as in this photo where a dusting of snow beautified Pikes Peak, and left the rest of the community barren. But the search for spring is a delightful search, and I’m game for it … every year, no matter how long it goes on. A.E. Houseman seems to agree when he comments,
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.
My quest for spring included this as well from St. Mary’s Falls.

The Practicals
The fact that we are talking about spring reminds me to share with you a calendar that some requested. I made it for a special order, and then another and this is the last time I will mention it. It is a “yearly quarter” 2013 calendar. Here is what it looks like – photo on the left. You can order it by emailing me.
Dusting is available for purchase. Reminder that in the quest for spring we have some of our fabric coasters on SALE! Take a look on Etsy. You can order any photo on notecards or other items by visiting the online order page.
You can use the buttons below to scoot this blog or one of the photos over to a friend or your Pinterest page.
Bringing you the world,
