Rose Drops, the Rain of Courage
The Photo: Rose Drops.
Rose Drops. A single red rose in bloom speaks of love, of respect and of great courage. In this week that drips of romance and candlelight, of love songs and chocolate, that powerful force is worth mentioning. Courage where a single mom works long hours and still makes dinner and does homework. Courage to care for disabled family members or to face severe illness. The act of going to a job one doesn’t like but that one needs to put food on the table. Or serving one’s country overseas. Courage: what does it demand of you?
This rose is for each one of these people, for you, who face each day with the attitude that Edgar Guest described:
“Fate can slam him and bang him around
And batter his frame till he’s sore
But she never can say that he’s downed
While he bobs up serenely for more. . .”Courage: “Not beat till no longer he tries.”
Toss her a red rose.
